Brief bio:
Daniel L. Wang is a researcher in the Scalable Data Systems group at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, where his projects include the Qserv system for LSST’s catalog access and various work on SciDB related to scientific applications and data (e.g., HDF5, NetCDF). He received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Irvine for work on the SWAMP system for parallel reduction of geoscience data. He also holds a BS from Duke University and a MS from Stanford University. His research interests include large scale data, automatic parallelization, data mining, systems software, and signal processing.
